Terms & general conditions for registration

Preamble

These Terms & General Conditions are valid for all registered participants to the congress announced on this website.

Registering on behalf of another

If you are registering on behalf of another person, it is your obligation to make sure that the person attending is aware of these Terms and accepts them. By completing and submitting the registration form you are representing and warranting that you have made the person attending aware of these Terms and that they have accepted these Terms.

Changes or cancellation of a conference by BVMKA-HH/ABCOMF-TC

In the event that the Congress cannot take place due to circumstances beyond the control of the organising committee (force majeure), or for reasons not attributable to the intent or negligence of the organising committee, the committee cannot be held liable for any damages, costs, or financial losses incurred by participants, including but not limited to travel expenses, accommodation costs, registration or other related expenses.

Cancellation policy

Up to 14 days before the event: Full refund minus an administrative fee of 25 euros.
Between 14 days and 7 days before the event: 50% refund of the registration fee.
Less than 7 days before the event: No refunds will be issued.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via congress@omfs.be.

Refunds will be credited only to the person/entity who paid for the original registration. In the event of changes in the name of the person attending, we will only accept members of the same Institution. Changes will be charged with an added processing fee of 50 euros. In accordance with current regulations on consumer rights and retail management, the attendee, whenever considered a consumer, will not be able to exercise the right of withdrawal since the supply of services related to leisure activities are not applicable to the norm.

Modification of the congress program

The organisation reserves the right to modify the program which is published solely as an indication. Refunds will not be granted in case the program is modified (including the change of speakers).

Images & footage

The congress may be recorded to be broadcast through different channels, therefore attendees may appear on the footage captured. If you don't wish to appear in the recordings, please keep in mind that you must communicate this in advance. All footage and contents recorded during the conferences are property of the organizing committee. Attendees will be able to upload photos of the event to the Internet, but its forbidden to record videos or audios of the conferences or publish them on any of the existing video platforms, social media, etc.

Liability

By registering for the Congress and/or by participating in the exhibition joined to the Congress, participants and exhibitors agree that the Organising Committee or the Congress Secretariat do not assume any responsibility for damage or injuries to persons or property during the Congress. Participants and exhibitors are advised to organize their own health, travel and personal insurances.

Abstract

The participant, once registered to the Congress, has the option of presenting an abstract or poster. On the website you will find available all the requirements and guidelines to follow in the event of a presentation.

Likewise, if an attendee is the main author of an abstract sent to the Congress (be it a presentation, oral communication, poster, etc.), acceptance of these terms and conditions imply that express authorization and consent is granted by:

  • All other co-authors of the abstract or paper presented at the Congress in order to include their data (email, work center, professional category, etc.)
  • Institution or institutions (hospital, clinic, university, etc.) that appear in the abstract or paper presented at the Congress to include data, statistics, results, procedures, etc. that have been produced or have taken place in them.

The Organising Committee organising the congress and JABCO will not be liable of any lack of diligence from of the assistant to the Congress and their obligation to obtain consent.

Security

Access to this website is the sole responsibility of the users. It implies acceptance and knowledge of the legal warnings, conditions and terms of use contained therein. The provider reserves the right to make, at any time, as many changes and modifications as it deems convenient and necessary without prior notice. This website is used in accordance to the generally accepted standards of the industry, such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptographic mechanisms, all in order to prevent unauthorised techniques of access to information security data. To achieve these purposes, the user / client accepts that the provider may collect and process data for the purpose of authentication and access control. The entire contracting process involves the processing of personal data, which is always transmitted through the secure communication protocol (HTTPS: //) so that no third party has access to the information transmitted electronically.
