Abstracts Autumn meeting 2024 - Maxillofacial Imaging

Dear colleagues,

This year’s event brings together leading experts and professionals to explore the latest advancements in radiological applications within the field. With a focus on 3D visualization techniques, diagnostic innovations, and their crucial role in surgical planning, this congress aims to deepen our understanding of how radiology continues to transform oral and maxillofacial surgery.

The day will begin with presentations on advanced techniques for preparing orthognathic surgeries and evaluating outcomes. We are honored to feature a distinguished panel of keynote speakers who will share their expertise across a range of specializations. Dr. Boris LUBICZ (Hôpital Erasme) will be the first keynote speaker with an exploration of cutting-edge techniques in interventional radiology and their application in oral and maxillofacial surgery, followed by a series of shorter presentations on imaging techniques. Dr. Moise MARTIN (CHU Liège) will then provide insights into imaging for maxillofacial trauma, followed by Dr. Mladen MILICEVIC (CHU Liège), who will discuss rapid differential diagnosis of dentomaxillary pathologies using CBCT. A series of short talks will then cover the use of radiological diagnostic aids. Lastly, Dr. Jan CASSELMAN will conclude the keynote sessions with a presentation on the latest advancements in neuroimaging and its relevance to our field, followed by further presentations on radiological techniques for visualizing congenital anomalies, planning bone grafting, and implant placement.

Throughout this congress, we will explore how radiological imaging continues to drive innovation, enhance patient outcomes, and support complex surgical procedures.
